We thank you for taking time to visit our website. At Hampton Preparatory, we encourage our students to question and evaluate information critically, seek out and explore links between subjects, and develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to appreciate their role in the world. Our students participate in a rigorous, internationally recognized program that allows them to gain the self-confidence to act individually and collaboratively.
Hampton Preparatory is affiliated with the Uplift Education network of public charter schools. Our school opened in the fall of 2007 with a mere 160 students in grades 5th, 6th, 7th, and 9th grades. Today, we have over 700 students enrolled in Kindergarten through 1st grades and 4th through 12th grades. By the fall of 2013, we anticipate an enrollment of over 1,300 students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grades. We currently have a Recognized rating with the Texas Education Agency for the 2009-2010 school year.
Hampton Preparatory is in the midst of implementing Project Lead the Way (PLTW) in the fall of 2011. PLTW prepares students to be the most innovative and productive leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and to make meaningful, pioneering contributions to our world. Through an engaging, hands-on curriculum, PLTW encourages the development of problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creative and innovative reasoning, and a love for learning.
