In 2023, Uplift Education with Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) was selected as one of 10 education/healthcare partners nationwide to receive a substantial $14.9 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies. This unprecedented partnership has transformed Uplift Heights Preparatory into Uplift Heights Healthcare Institute, a career-technical education (CTE) high school that prepares scholars for well-paying careers in healthcare.
Scholars explore a comprehensive range of healthcare careers and take foundational healthcare course electives in the 9th grade. In the 10th grade, they choose their specific healthcare pathway, Biomedical Science, Nursing, Healthcare Therapeutic, or Healthcare Operations, to complete alongside their high school coursework. This comprehensive approach ensures scholars are well-prepared for the diverse and dynamic healthcare industry.
Apply now for 9th grade to be included in the inaugural class beginning August 2024. Embark on a transformative journey with Uplift Education’s Heights Healthcare Institute and give your scholar endless opportunities in the healthcare industry.

Uplift Heights Preparatory
Among the Best in the Nation
Located near the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge, Uplift Heights was established in 2010 and has developed deep ties to the fast-growing west Dallas community. The school has two campuses a mile apart from each other, but families bond together through an active volunteer culture and school-wide celebrations. U.S. News and World Report ranked the school among the top 12% in its Best High Schools in the nation. Scholars at Uplift Heights help shape the culture of the school and “Condor Pride” runs deep. As an International Baccalaureate Continuum school, our scholars start IB in Kindergarten and continue in this highly effective learning environment through high school. As a result, 100% of Uplift Heights scholars are accepted to college and earn millions of dollars each year in scholarships and grants.
