This new hire web page is provided for those who have been offered and accepted a professional or paraprofessional position with Uplift Education. It is our hope that we can make the new hire process a seamless, positive experience. Upon receipt of your signed offer letter, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your New Hire Onboarding session.

Documents & Credentials
Transcripts are not required to be in a sealed envelope, but must be an original, produced by the college/university, bearing the seal and signature of the registrar. Electronic records are accepted provided they are emailed directly from the university to hr@uplifteducation.org with the subject line: First Name Last Name Certifications/Transcripts.

Please complete the forms in your Frontline Central inbox, they will be routed to the appropriate staff. Check your email for instructions on how to access the portal.

New Hires should bring the following documentation with them to their onboarding. Original (Official) documentation from the List of Acceptable Documents required for the I-9 form (All documents must be unexpired.)

For Teachers, Teacher Assistants, Academic Directors, Academic Deans, Curriculum & Instruction Directors, Curriculum and Instruction Specialists, Child Nutrition Cooks, Cafe Workers, Drivers, Health Office Aides, Nurse LVNS, Social Counselors, Academic Counselors, RTCC Counselors, Interventionists, and Student Support Specialists, Uplift determines compensation on a salary schedule based on years of experience in role.
New Hires may provide their service records during the completion of their onboarding paperwork. This must be completed within 30 days from your first day of employment to be considered in the validation of your salary.

A candidate with experience outside of Texas may print the State of Texas service record form and forward to their previous district(s) for completion. The document must be signed by the institution’s administrative official, preferably with the institution’s seal. As soon as the service record(s) are approved, the salary is adjusted retroactive to the employees start date or the beginning of the current school year.

Name & Address Change Issues
No. Should current employees need to update their address, phone number, or email address, you may do so on Frontline Employee Service Center following the instructions located on our intranet.
It is a legal requirement to use the new hire’s name as it appears on their identification and social security card presented. When the employee receives a new card from the Social Security Administration Office, you can submit an iHelp ticket by emailing hr@uplifteducation.org to begin the process. We will need to verify your updated Driver's License and Social Security card.

Academic Calendar & Orientation
An employee’s start date is determined once the criminal background check is completed, and Talent Management has all the required documents to complete the new employee file.

Annual training consists of a set of online modules and acknowledgments that must be completed by all employees annually and/or upon hire. These trainings ensure that all Uplift staff are in full compliance with annual training requirements set by the Texas Education Agency. Please check in with your supervisor for more information.
Yes. Information about the current academic year’s new teacher orientation is available through the Uplift Education intranet and varies from year to year. Some segments of orientation are in-person while others are asynchronous virtual workshops. Please check in with your supervisor for more information.

Salary & Payroll Information
Salaries are determined individually based on each person’s creditable years of experience and credentials. Salary advancement is based on an annual pay raise budget approved by the Board of Trustees. Please see our Teacher Compensation Schedule for more information.
New Hires with creditable years of service are required to provide service records from prior school districts in order to earn the experience-based salary. New Hires have 30 calendar days from the date of hire to submit a service record to Talent Management. Once the record is verified, there may be an adjustment in salary based on the service record (if applicable).
Failure to submit service records by the deadline will result in a reduction in pay according to the salary for zero years of service. New Hires may provide their service records during the completion of their onboarding paperwork.
Exempt Employees - Uplift pays exempt employees monthly. The monthly pay date is the last business day of each month. Any information received after the scheduled deadline for a payday will be reflected on the following month’s payroll.
Non-Exempt Employees – Uplift pays non-exempt employees on a semi-monthly basis. Pay dates will be the 15th and the last business day of each month. However, if such a date falls on the weekend or holiday, the pay date will be the previous business day, in most cases. Any information received after the scheduled deadline for payday will be reflected in the following semi-monthly payroll.
Uplift Education only pays electronically, and paper checks are not issued. Please review the information in the New Hire Onboarding Packet to learn how to setup your direct deposit.
As a school year employee, your last paycheck for the previous school year pays out on July 31st of each year. Your first paycheck for the upcoming school year pays out in your August 31st paycheck. Should you receive an adjusted base pay for the upcoming school year, it will be reflected in your August 31st paycheck.

New employees must complete enrollment with a Benefits Counselor and make their benefit’s election within thirty (30) days from their first day of employment. Current employees can make changes to their insurance coverage when the employee has a personal status change (“qualifying event”) or during annual open enrollment. Information on benefits is available on the Uplift Education Employee Benefits website.
Identification Badge
The Central Management Office issues identification badges and distributes them to campuses on a weekly basis. When your identification badge arrives, you will receive a notification from your Operations Director.
You will have an opportunity to submit your photo via the New Hire packet on Frontline Central. Please note that your badge cannot be set up until you have completed all your new hire paperwork. Any delays may influence your badge delivery.
Computer Access & E-mail
The email username is issued by our IT department. New Hires will receive their Uplift Education login information within the first week of employment.

New employees may access e-mail and tool accounts by going to our intranet - Uplink. There, login with the assigned username and password. You will find entry points to many of our tools via the Tools & Resources section.
