Uplift Summit Middle School celebrated the planting of the Moon Tree. According to NASA's website, "This new generation of Moon Tree seeds traveled into lunar orbit aboard the Orion spacecraft. The seeds circled the moon and then traveled thousands of miles beyond the moon, spending about 4 weeks in space before returning to earth." After carefully reviewing hundreds of applications, Uplift Summit was chosen as one of the institutions to plant the tree based on specific criteria. The moon tree is planted in honor of 2 brothers who started with Summit in Kindergarten: Itiel (Graduating Senior) & Edrei Caban Cardona (Junior), whose dreams soared as high as the stars and whose spirits will forever dance among the constellations. 🎉🥳 #UpliftSummitScholarCulture
Uplift Summit Middle School celebrated Kari Miller, our Middle School Director, on Principal's Day. Students were allowed to dress up like teachers, and teachers were allowed to dress like students on a free dress day. 😂🥳 #UpliftSummitScholarCulture
Uplift Summit High School had a surprise visit from a few of our furry friends! Taking EOCs and other high-stakes tests is often a nervous time for students. To help alleviate test-taking anxiety, dogs were brought in for the first time. Scholars enjoyed the experience and said they would love to have them come back again. 🙂 #UpliftSummitScholarCulture
Uplift Summit was in the path for the solar eclipse. Our scholars were outside when the temperatures dropped, and the moon crept across the face of the sun. Excitement filled the air when the total eclipse occurred! 🌚 #UpliftSummitScholarCulture #solareclipse #eclipse2024
