How to accept your spot

To accept your spot, please log in to theSchoolmint Account you created when you applied and click the ACCEPT button next to your child’s name.  You will then be asked to confirm your choice.  It’s that simple! Once you accept your child’s spot, you will be directed to complete your registration. Don’t forget, the deadline to register is Feb. 19. We can’t wait for the incredible journey that awaits at Uplift Education!

Complete your registration

After you accept your spot, you will be directed to a page to complete your registration.  Here you will provide some basic information about your child.  You will also be asked to upload the following records:

  • Child’s immunization record
  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Photo ID of parent
  • Child’s social security card (if available)
  • Child’s last report card* (grades 3-12)
  • Child’s last STAAR results* (grades 3-12)
  • Child’s last school transcript* (grades 3-12)
  • Special Services (if needed – for your security, this document must be uploaded along with other registration documents and should not be emailed to the school)

* When your child is offered an open seat at one of our Uplift Schools for grades 3-12, transcripts, STAAR reports and a transcript from your previous school are necessary so that Uplift can begin scheduling your child for the new school year.

Frequently asked questions

While we encourage you to complete registration immediately after accepting your spot, registration does not have to be completed all at once.  You may return to the registration section at any time by clicking the “REGISTER” button next to your child’s name in  your Schoolmint Account.  Your progress will be saved.  Acceptance and registration should be completed by February 19th, 2024.

If we do not hear from you by Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 we will assume you are no longer interested and your offer could be subject to cancellation.

Log in to your Schoolmint account that you created when you applied. Our lottery is drawn in the first week of February and you will be notified by email and text if your child was drawn in the lottery and offered a spot or if you were placed on the wait list. You can also see your status in your Schoolmint Account. A few weeks after the initial lottery notification, you will be able to see your position on the wait list.

If you are using a laptop, you can upload documents saved on your computer, or scan them to your computer using a printer/scanner.  If you are using a mobile phone, you may be able to take a picture of your enrollment documents and upload them!  The Schoolmint website will guide you through the process.

You can only upload a single file for each document, so multi-page documents must be in one single file.  Using an app like Genius Scan will allow you to scan multi-page documents and save them into a single file.  Download Genius Scan for free for iOS or Android.

Applicants with submitted registration forms will have a status of  Registration Completed and will be able to view a link to the PDF version of the forms that they can print. The PDF will open in a new tab in the browser and can be printed out from there. It will include all of the data entered by the parents.  You will also receive an email confirming your completed registration.

Contact our Enrollment team, we are happy to walk you through the process!

If we do not hear from you by Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 we will assume you are no longer interested and your offer could be subject to cancellation.

If you had more than one school choice on your application, and the offer your received is not your first school choice, you may still accept the spot offered and you will remain on the wait list for your 1st choice school.  If you accept the spot at the school offered, you will drop off any wait lists for school choices BELOW this one.

Once you accept your spot and complete registration for one child, you will be redirected back to the Application Dashboard where you can complete acceptance and registration for any other accepted applicants.

If you have applied for multiple children to attend an Uplift school, and not all siblings get drawn in the lottery, then you will be asked to accept your offer of a spot for the child(ren) who receives an offer and complete their registration.  Once the registration is complete, any siblings still on the wait list will automatically be moved to a higher priority position on the wait list.  While we still cannot guarantee an offer for all siblings, the likelihood is much better that a spot will eventually be offered.  One exception is PRE-K.  Our PRE-K lottery notifications will not happen until April (as prohibited by Texas State Law), so those PRE-K applicants not drawn in the lottery could also get a preference on the wait list, but not until April or later.

All of your scholars must have the same primary email address (username) in their profile. If all your children are not showing on your dashboard, it is most likely because you created multiple accounts with different primary emails. Let your campus Family Engagement Coordinator (FEC) know. They will need to move the scholars to the primary email/username that you want to use.

Pre-K application process is the same as other Uplift grades, and an application must be submitted prior to February 1st to be included in our lottery. However, Uplift only offers the state-funded program, therefore, in accordance with state guidelines, lottery notification and eligibility meetings begin April 1.

If you have a child on our waitlist, they could still be offered a spot in the near future. Visit our lottery and application process page to read more information on the waitlist.
