Sibling Pick Up/Drop Off

Sibling Pick Up/Drop Off Not allowed – Heights Secondary scholars cannot walk to pick up or drop off Primary siblings. If they have their license, then they can drive the carline with a carline tag.

Walk/Bike Policy

Walkers and Bikers not allowed for Primary unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. For secondary, a signed consent form from a parent must be on file in order for a scholar to leave campus by walking. Scholars who leave campus by walking shall be dismissed during the regular dismissal time windows along with all other scholars and are prohibited from remaining on school grounds after dismissal. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure the health and safety of scholars after dismissal from school and to ensure scholars are aware of any change in plan for their dismissal. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure scholars do not loiter around local businesses or homes. Outside of school sponsored after-school programming there is no adult supervision provided by Uplift after the dismissal of school. If at any time school administration is concerned about the health and safety of a scholar, appropriate State officials shall be notified. This may include law enforcement or Child Protective Services (CPS). Scholars qualify to be a walker because the address on their enrollment information is less than 0.5 miles from Uplift Heights Secondary (2806 Canada Dr. Dallas, TX). Walkers are not permitted on Canada Drive due to the construction. FORM BELOW IS FOR SECONDARY ONLY.

Carline Tags or Signs

PRIMARY: Carline tags required on dash. Tags are $1 each. SECONDARY: Required on dash; Each family will be provided 2 carline tags per scholar. * If you need additional carline tags, they are available for purchase at the front office during office hours for $2 each. *Pictures of carline tags will NOT be accepted. *On Wednesdays we will mass release (secondary only). Carline Tags will not be needed.

Primary Carline General Instructions

Enter at Bickers and Vine Maple. Stay right until you arrive at the Calypso entrance.

Uplift Heights Secondary Campus Carline Procedures 25-26
Construction Update: Canada Drive is currently under heavy construction – which includes lane closures and rerouting of traffic on some days. The City of Dallas is approaching the 3rd year of a multi-year project. To ensure the safety of all in the area, the City of Dallas has restricted foot traffic on Canada Drive between Westmoreland and Tamerisk Street. We will be enforcing this restriction. This means that upon leaving campus approved walkers will not be allowed to walk towards Canada Drive. The construction zone is off limits.
CARLINE PROCEDURES
ARRIVAL:
To ensure a smooth and efficient arrival process, please adhere to the following schedule:
• Gates open daily at 7:00 am.
• Building doors open at 7:30 am.
• Instruction starts at 8:00am. Your scholar is tardy at 7:59am. Please bring them on time.
• Follow the designated carline route
o Please refer to the attached map for more detailed information.
DISMISSAL:
For dismissal, please take note of the front office closing times:
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: The office closes at 3:10 pm.
• Wednesday: The office closes at 2:00 pm.
• Please make sure you have your carline tag displayed prominently on your car’s windshield for scholar pick up
• Please adhere to the corresponding arrows on the map.
• Each family will be provided 2 carline tags per scholar
o If you need additional carline tags, they are available for purchase at the front office during office hours for $2 each.
o Pictures of carline tags will NOT be accepted.
• All scholars are required to use the designated carline for drop-off and pick-up.
• We kindly request that no families attempt to pick up or drop off outside our gates.
• On Wednesdays and Half Days we mass release all scholars
o Carline numbers will not be needed on these days
• 15-minutes after the last bell, no adult supervision will be provided by Uplift. If at any time school administration is concerned about the health and safety of a scholar, appropriate State officials shall be notified. This may include law enforcement or Child Protective Services (CPS).
