Counseling to high school seniors and Uplift alums on career options in healthcare and the paths to reach those careers, including continuing education.

Launch a Career in Healthcare
In collaboration with Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) and Innovative Workforce Solutions, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Apprenticeship Program combines online coursework with hands-on training, allowing participants to gain valuable experience while earning an income.
- Earn While You Learn: The CMA program allows you to work as an apprentice in real healthcare settings, giving you both the training and income to support your transition into the healthcare industry.
- Competitive Starting Salary: As a Certified Medical Assistant, you can expect to start your career with a salary ranging from $34,000 – $45,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
- Strong Job Placement & Mentorship: We provide ongoing support throughout the apprenticeship, helping you navigate your job search and career advancement with the guidance of industry professionals.
The CMA Apprenticeship is designed to give participants their first step into a growing and fulfilling field.
With additional training and education, CMAs are poised to pursue careers such as:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Medical Technologist
- Healthcare Administrator
For those interested in continuing their healthcare education and pursuing professional school, UPLIFT HEALS provides guidance on the college courses needed while earning a bachelor’s or associate degree.
